his visit to Japan where he took part in the 17th EU-Japan Summit
Meeting , the European Commissioner for External Trade, Mr.
Peter Mandelson, gave a public speech on "Unfinished Globalisation:
Investment and the EU-Japan relationship"

EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson called the
issue of investment "unfinished globalisation" for EU and Japan.
In a speech in Tokyo, Mandelson said that barriers to investment
had kept productive EU investment out of the Japanese economy, despite
the fact that Europe had been welcoming such investment for decades.
