• 日本と欧州におけるそれぞれの職場環境でのコミュニケーションの向上、日本的コミュニケーションスタイルの認識・理解
• 日本企業内での意思決定プロセスの理解
• 日本の企業社会の構造・ヒエラルキーの把握
• 日系企業でビジネスを行ううえで参考となる日本の歴史・経済・産業・財政・政治、法律的事項についての理解
• 日本の政治・経済情勢に関する情報収集機会の提供
• 日本における自社関係者・顧客との面談機会の提供

I personally learnt a lot about Japanese culture and behaviour.
With the few Japanese words I learned and remembered, sometimes
I could modify relationships using a Japanese expression or
simply a "O-hayou gozaimasu" to launch a meeting, thereby bringing down the potential barriers through laughter. Generally, in this case, Japanese participants then used the French expression "Bonjour". When I came back from Japan my company's top management set up cross-functional teams, based on Carlos Ghosn's tool developed in Nissan and Renault, to knock down the barriers, cultural and organisational. |

They asked me to manage one of the teams - "Manufacturing Productivity Improvement" - so I have to use my imagination to make a breakthrough regarding reduction of costs. For this I had to constitute a team of French as well as Japanese people. Having experienced the behaviour of Japanese during meetings in Japan, I could help them to open up their minds… allowing them the time and possibility not to react immediately. We created very small mixed teams to analyse together the proposals and to reach consensus: the result seems to be beyond our expectations. In short, a highly profitable training course… please continue to propose it for all managers in Japanese firms in Europe. |
